Introduction to Working with Children and Young People using TA

This course  runs over five weekends over four  months and provides 36 hours of training  in  this specialist area, looking at legal and ethical considerations,  child development, attachment, resilience, therapeutic interventions and creative techniques.  

This  course is suitable for therapists working with children or those interested in learning more about child psychotherapy using TA. The course is a mixture of taught content, discussion, practical exercises, skills practice and group process.

A written piece of work is required for completion of the course.  Run by two highly experienced UKCP registered therapists, with combined experience of social work, children's services, NSPCC, NHS and voluntary organisations.  


Vicarious Trauma


A one day workshop examining vicarious trauma and how it can affect therapists and those in helping relationships.


Working  with Survivors  of Childhood Sexual Abuse


A one or two day workshop  providing a  therapeutic  model  for therapists  working with childhood sexual abuse survivors.


At The Edge - working with actively suicidal and self harming clients


A two day workshop looking at working with clients who are actively suicidal or self harming, covering legal implications, therapeutic considerations, limits and boundaries, impact upon the therapist and supervisor.
